Today's class discussion about Meredith and the publishing class designs made me think about how each role and position in producing a magazine is personal yet only one part in a long process. Although I do not necessarily want the other students to tear apart my design or borrow several different aspects of different designs to collaborate into one, it is easy to see why they would prefer such an option. Of course, if I were publishing a magazine, I would want to put together all of the strong visual elements from different designs. It is just interesting to consider their perspective versus my own in that I come from a completely different stance in that I have put effort into my design but I am not as invested in the "overall" package as the other students might be. I look forward to seeing how the discussions go and seeing how the final products turn out!
